"Lush Emotional Brilliance - Worldwide Launch" xoxo

Hi Lovies!

Lush is very excited to launch a brand new concept that matches your psychological needs to what colour cosmetics you should be wearing, at any moment. Developed by Lush Co-founder, Rowena Bird with help from Strategic Behavioural Therapist, Lady Kennedy.

Take a look!

The idea is that you spin Lush’s Emotional Brilliance colour wheel and choose the first three colours that jump out at you. These three colours each have a word underneath that reveal a little bit about your current state of mind. You then wear your chosen colours to empower you throughout the day. Sounds fun, right?

This colour game is intended to unveil the colours you should be wearing to fulfil a need – you spin the wheel and choose the three colours that stand out to you at that moment. Not because they are your favourite colours or because they match what you’re wearing, but because you are drawn to them.

These three chosen colours will then be placed in the middle of the wheel in the order you picked them. Your first colour choice symbolises your STRENGTH OR WEAKNESS; your second choice represents your SUBCONSCIOUS NEED; while your third choice is your TALENT and it is what you require to achieve your subconscious need.

Great plus: LUSH uses gentle and mostly natural, non-toxic formulations, so all of the colors are safe enough to wear in places they're not necessarily meant for. So just because you buy Success eyeliner doesn't mean it's just for eyes. You can wear it on your lips, or use it as a cheek stain. You could even use it for a highlighter or as a fancy mascara. Great products to play around with!

Everything is in little glass bottles or jars and looks very sweet and sciency at the same time.

Is your emotional state of mind saying you should buy this collection? Yeah, I thought so, but hold your horses. You'll have to wait until the 21st of this month to experience, and purchase the Emotional Brilliance line. Until then, check out Lush on the web.

Until Next Time!

"Shiseido Perfect Mascara" xoxo

Hi Lovies!

You probably all know that I Love to talk about budget products. If they work and they are cheap, what could a Girl want more, right?

But today I make an exception for the Shiseido Perfect mascara. With the price of €20,48 for 8 ml it’s not really a budget product, so lets see if it actually works!

Shiseido says:

All-day Beautiful Finish. Proven Smudge-proof formula. Easy to Remove with Warm Water. Creates amazing volume, length and curl — all benefits in one mascara. Intense lustrous color that never dulls. “Flexible”, non-clumping formula stays smudge-free all day. Contains Pro Vitamin B5 – a treatment ingredient, that makes formula gentle for lashes.

The Brush:

The Perfect mascara has a pretty standard bristle brush, so no depending on a crazy battery-powered-rotating-..  brush. We are relying on the formula!

The Texture
The texture of the mascara is a little creamy which is great for creating length. If you look at my before and after pictures, you can see that the mascara gives my lashes a great length. Now for the Volume… I tried a few coats to see what would happen. With two coats there is even more lovely length, but no real volume. So I tried a third coat, but created spiderlashes instead. So I’m afraid Shiseido still has to work on the volume part.

Verdict:

I Love how black it makes my lashes look and I do Love the length! But if you’re looking for volume on your lashes, I’m not really sure if this one is for you.

My verdict is that the mascara is nice to apply, looks good and very natural, makes my lashes long, but it is not a volume mascara. Almost perfect!

You can buy the Shiseido Perfect mascara at Parfumswinkel.nl

"Man Repeller Or Propeller?" xoxo

PS: Since I don't have the time to write an article every single day (Exams!), I decided to publish some of my old articles. Enjoy!

Hi Lovies!

Today’s article is about men’s strong opinions when it comes to women's hair and makeup. It’s true, guys don't always agree on the looks we love. Some guys love long hair on women, others prefer short. Some adore the "no makeup" look, while others think a smoky eye is the ultimate in sexy.

There are a few common trends though. Almost all guys hate following beauty trends:

Foundation

Men hate it when a girl wears too much foundation. The trick is to conceal all of your imperfections without looking like you wear a mask. The way to do this, is using a concealer and only cover up dark circles or spots. But before you throw away your foundation, keep in mind that using a proper amount of foundation can give you that perfect look. So if you’re a foundation-loving girl (just like me!), keep rocking!

RED LIPS
Reason why men don’t like this: Quote: "Honestly, I just don't want to be wiping off lipstick from my lips. Doesn't taste that great."

Please excuse their ignorance. Red lipstick is a universal classic and has yet to go out of style. And with all the celebrities wearing this chic look, red lips are here to stay for another few seasons.

BANGS

Guys feel a little intimidated by women with bangs. They feel like if the woman is unapproachable and is trying to hide something (Well, I hope It’s not acne girl!). Women with bangs usually know what they want and are very businesslike and focused.
No wonder men don’t like women with bangs, they just can’t handle a women with a strong personality.

A BUN

A bun can give the impression of ‘the housewife on the way to the supermarket look’, but when done correctly, a bun can be  "Fun, spontaneous and sexy."

A SMOKY EYE

Once again, some men feel intimidated by women with a smoky eye. They’re just pussies. A confident man will find a smoky eye very seductive and mysterious.
The prospect of a smoky eye as a Man Repeller is fairly controversial. Done in moderation, the beauty trend can exude a certain Old Hollywood glam factor. No matter what your eye shape is, this sexy eye make-up will look fabulous on your face!

So If you currently wear a look on this list, should you change it? My answer: Hell no!  Let's be honest, the average guy doesn't know a whole lot about women's hair and makeup trends . Most men even struggle to make themselves look semi-presentable.

Conclusion: Wear what you want and wear it with a smile!

Until next time!
